Dazed and Confused

dazed-and-confused-r-rated-stoner-comedyAh yes, some of the best comedies are set in the 70s. There are perhaps none better than Dazed and Confused, which is exactly how almost all of us felt in high school.

Just a trio of the characters in the film- great times ahead.

Looking for an awesome coming of age film with plenty of drugs, alcohol and partying? Dazed and confused is more than that. It’s smart, too. This is one of the greatest comedies that exists, and you will see why it’s on my list of best comedies within the first 20 minutes of the film.

High school isn’t a cake walk, and the seniors make it especially tough with some brutal hazing rituals. This movie is about finding out what you are all about. It’s got a bunch of different characters that hold true today. Stoners, drinkers, jocks, and more.

Can you feel the sleaze oozing off a young Mathew McConaughey?

You gotta love when Matthew McConaughey plays a sleazy character… my favorite quote of this movie is from him. “That’s what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.” He’s just got that… gross feeling to him when he plays a sleazeball that makes you squirm uncomfortably.

There’s a great cast with stars who are up and coming, including Ben Afleck and Adam Goldberg. I’ll be honest with you, I’m not capturing the true feeling of this movie. It defies words… it just feel so honest and realistic.

Check out Dazed and Confused. It’s one of the best comedies on my list of best comedies, and will bring back memories of a time when parents didn’t have to sign a safety form for kids to play on a playground.
